Source listings beyond normal bookable inventory

Time-sensitive listings need source attribution, start/end dates, location, category, price/free status, and a last-verified timestamp so expired or stale events do not continue to surface.

  • Marketplace providers and local organizers
  • Municipal and county calendars
  • Tourism bureaus and chambers of commerce
  • Libraries, parks, resorts, venues, and community organizations
  • Event platforms and ticketing feeds when authorized
  • Public social-event feeds, including Facebook / Instagram, through supported or authorized integrations
Publish a local activity or event

Add free, community, leisure, or temporary listings

Organizers can publish directly now. Automated calendar, tourism, event-platform, and authorized social-feed imports can populate the same discovery records later.

Configure Clerk before enabling provider event publishing.

  • Featured map pin upgrade: $20/month per listing, without bypassing availability, eligibility, verification, or safety rules

  • Host referral attribution and revenue share
  • Free community events remain discoverable without requiring a paid booking
Implementation sequence

Reuse the booking core and add a local-discovery ingestion layer around it.

The request model now carries discovery intent. Next backend adapters should ingest provider events, municipal/tourism calendars, authorized event-platform feeds, and supported public social-event sources, normalize them, deduplicate them, and expire stale listings.
